Summing up the carnage

By blueskyz
Lets begin from the first week of my exam. There is nothing much. I knew that my Physiology would be first up, then 3 days later it would be my Cellular Metabolism and another 1 day later, my Instrumental Analysis. Since it was packed in my first week of exam, i started to concentrated off more on Physiology, Cell Met and Instru. I have no time to do any revision for Anatomy at first.

As the exam drew closer, i knew that i need to concentrate more on 3 topics for my Phy instead of studying all 4, so i decided to study up Endocrinology, Reproduction and Exercise first. The first paper was not much of a problem. Then came the danger part, Cell Met and Instru in just 1 day apart, which is a big no no. I have not much of a problem with Cell Met as i can crap about more or less, but Instru is not. Its either you know it or you are dead.

But as the Cell Met subjects did not have any lecture notes on it, we have to fully rely on the textbook, and that meant that we have to study everything in the textbook. K, no prob. Right until that exam day, i never managed to study finish everything at all. At the end, left some blanks in the exam paper. But even when i do know the answers, i don't think i would have enough time to write it down anyway. No one had anticipated it to be so long.

Then came the Instru. This was the hell subject as the Biotech students have lots of time to study well since they have no exams as yet while most of the BioMed students was already darn tired from the first 2 papers, and it doesn't went anywhere well since that we are unable re-revise anything in time. This subject requires total understanding and memorization, and that was something many of us was unable to do.

Fine, i don't care. After that, we had a 5 day period before our Physio paper 2. Good, i decided to fully understand and read thoroughly the last topic on GIT. Who knows, this topic was so darn hard. Took me about 3 days just for this topic. Luckily, that papers was somehow, the easiest exam paper of all.

Then, we had another 6 day period before our Anatomy paper. Yes, it would be good since we have more time to study. But in a way again, no, it is not that beneficial to us since our exams had been dragging on far too long. We are the 2nd earliest day to have our exams, and are the 2nd latest to finish it. It would surely have some impact on our morale and spirit in some cases and tends to slow us down. However, i can confirm that even the 6 days period is not enough to revise everything in Anatomy cause it's freaking lots of terms, names, facts and many more.

The Anatomy exam today, was by far, one of the worst i had in my life. I was totally stoned in many cases cause those questions are really quite straightforward, many i'd already studied, and yet, during that very time, i somehow forgot what it was again. We had our OSPE or practical again on the afternoon. Well, i take it, some are pretty easy, some i've never encountered before. Nonetheless. I'd tried all my best and hope that i really don't have to retake this subject again.

And yes, today was my last day of exam. It ended and a BBQ party was on. Would update about it after a good night sleep.
