Back to uni 2

By blueskyz
A 5 days rests after my hectic semester is what i just need in time. Re-tracing the track back to last week, it was a worthwhile experience that i'd never tasted for a long time. A futsal game was what i was hoping for for a long time and it was really worthy of the time. A dinner together with a big bunch of friends after the game was even more rewarding, except for the terrible food they served.

On Wed, finally, able to go back to KK =P Went to the airport early since i don't want to get stuck in the rush for balik kampung (Hari Raya was on Sat and Sun on the same week). How early i went, the airport was as usual, packed till the point of choking for fresh air. As much as i hate AirAsia, i had no choice as it was the cheapest one around. A return flight cost me around RM700++ while for MAS, it was about RM900-1000. The expensive part is the flight to KK, RM500, but can't complain since it was Hari Raya fever around that time.

Reached to LCCT at around 3pm ++, but the flight is not until 6pm ++, so i have plenty of time to walk around, in which i do not enjoy at all since as said, the place is packed and utterly full of horrible smells around and even shops are scarce. Even when i waited till 6pm++, the plane got delayed and thus, had to wait for another hour.

Back to KK, nothing much changed, as expected, except for the overhead bridge at Karamunsing there was half working. Finally, a good night sleep on my comfy bed =D. Had a hair cut the next morning, but it was not to what i had in mind.....................rather old fashion i think =_="But all this is for the event the next day, my uncle's wedding =D

The main event finally came. But strangely, it's not to what i imagined. In the past, the whole man's family would go to the gal's home and do the usual stuffs, then went somewhere for a group photo. But somehow, they told me its old fashion already and they are no longer doing it. Well, i ain't going to follow my uncle cause i could imagine what i have to do for the man's side.

We all gathered at my grandma's house for the bride and groom. Finally, they arrived, but shall not talk in detail, too much. As usual, the tea, the greetings, the lunch, the cake (in which they forgot to cut) and later back home to prepare for the dinner =D

At night, the dinner was at Ocean, but somehow, my father mistook the place and went to Putera instead =P Well, for one thing, the atmosphere at Ocean is really nice and pleasant, especially since it was just built ( some parts are still under construction). Minus the early seating confusion, it went on smoothly. The entrance of the bride and the groom is no longer coming from the door together like in the old days, instead, my uncle and his wife came out from the stage, singing a duet =P Dinner is on. The food is really nice and even the seafood was fresh.

Everything went on smoothly until towards the ending, the power was suddenly out. Make it a power trip or technical problem, i smell something fishy as in why it suddenly occur when the power in the other side of the restaurant was normal. Whatever it was, it worked as the guests started to head towards the exit.

For the next few days, i had done nothing but sleep and laying around. Not sure why, but it is as if my body was telling me it needs more rest, so i can't really stay awake if i lay on something. But still, i let it just as it is. Just take these oppertunities to rest applenty before i went back to KL for my intensive study sessions.

And now i am back in KL. As usual, my earlier flight got delayed again, but not that long this time. Behind me was a group of chinese. Somehow, i really wanted to stuff their mouth with a big cork cause they were complaining nonstop about this and that and whatsoever. When i took a cab back, the taxi driver was also quite talkative =P But in a sense, he was more reasonable.

I had already outlined my plans for the meantime. Nothing but study and revisions. But it would not hurt to stop a while to watch some animes i found interesting. Other would have to wait till after my exams though. Too much anime being released in a matter in fact.

But till then, i think i have to bid this place farewell for the meantime. Grow dust will it or spider web spunned upon it, but i would return again, after i have purged the menace that us students faced, nothing short of horror and torture. Be it in light or darkness, i am feeling sleepy =P

Boring Sunday

By blueskyz
I though this weekend was going to be my best one, but i am wrong. Sunday was quite....................empty. Woke up, hazy morning. Walk about back and forth, then proceed to my house chores of washing the clothes. Lucky for me, the sun was out big time when i was about to dry the clothes.

Next? Opened up the Physiological Anatomy book i borrowed. Study time. Noon? Went back to the uni's lib to find some more interesting books. Tough luck though, all are borrowed. Went back to hostel again and continue on with the study.

Had a heavy deluge earlier at night, but subsided quickly. Still, on my study table...................boring sunday boring sunday, why are thou here to plague my fine weekend.

Great weekend

I officially anounced that this Sat is the best Sat i've ever experienced for this semester. Past Saturdays had been ridden with worry of how to calculate reactions, or how to do discussions that would please the lab demo or find myself in the library scavanging for any useful books.

The morning start off brightly, but the weather is not. Hazy as a matter in fact, so terrible that though the haze itself is not that thick, the smell was overpowering. Even my bath towel left to dry overnight got some funny smell that i had to re-wash again.

Went to uni very early in the morning.................cause today is the first field trip that i am having in my uni. Our destination is UKM's KL campus Anatomy department. Actually, by the time i finished all my house chores, i realized that i was running late and went to uni without any breakfast.

UKM's KL campus was about 30 minutes bus drive away from my campus. However, the campus itself is quite old. I actually expected to experience something better and more modern, but instead, the campus looks more like the usual government's primary or secondary school type without and proper maintainance. In fact, it's so old that my intention to take lots of pic is lost. Anyway, we got briefed and we are sent to our targets.

Firstly, the anatomical museum. Basically its a room filled with parts, both real and fake that signifies our entire body. Since it involves real speciments, we are not allowed to take any pics in order to respect the dead. Really had a fun time browsing through real specimens of body parts since i've never in my life seen it first hand. We are even allowed to touch specimens that are waxed. However, the main attraction in that museum is the preserved baby that was already 8 months old. According to the lab tech there, the baby died during birth.

Then we are brought over to the anatomy labs, where dissections are preservation of bodies take place. As again, i was dissapointed since the facilities resembles structures that are built in the 80's. But still, it was a eye opener since we all never entered to such place before. We are briefed about the facility and how the body was dissected and preserved. At the end, we are able to touch and see for ourself first hand of preserved human, both body parts and whole body.

Overall, it was an eye opener trip. Hope to have more of it, as well as RIP to all the dead ones.

Later, futsal was finally organized. Been 2 months since i've last stepped on the field to kick the ball. But somehow, my team had no guys with goalkeeping experience, so i had to step up for it. I am even so unlucky to have opponents who blasts balls around, causing bruises. Conceded 5 balls, but hey, i saved alot too you know.

And finally at night, MU vs Wigan..............MU won big time this time =P 4-0. Hope i could capped up this wonderful weekend with a beautiful Sunday =)

Finally

I shall announced that my 9 weeks long of pure sufferings with assignments, reports, presentations, and tests are officially over by today upon handing in my final report of the entire semester =P

And i shall also announce that i would be sleeping for this entire week in order to recuperate my battered body, physically and mentally.

Never ending

By blueskyz
Still not out of the danger waters yet. Haven't been sleeping really well for the past 2-3 days. Had my Anatomy exam yesterday. Was quite unhappy about it cause the lecturers came out questions that were really least expected. Though i managed to answer most of the questions, i still hope that miracle could save me from that dreadful paper.

After the exam i thought i was free, happy, and able to be more relaxed. Went to buka puasa with Hamdi and Ada together with the usual batch, this time to Sushi Zanmai =P The sushi here is really nice. Had a great time, but some problems and matters did overshadowed the night. However, this is what i have to say for that problem: "Science student should be flexible in the very beginning. Expect the unexpected all the time" =D

When i return back to the hostel to do some final touchup to my instrumental report, thanks to Siao Ting who MSNed me back at that time to ask me about the report, then i realized that i had done some really dire mistakes in my report. Had to re-calculated the concentration, had to re-plot the graphs, have to re-discuss the entire situation.......................something like that. End up sleeping at 4am =O

Chaotic Monday

By blueskyz
Uni starts today again as the short-1-week holiday ( which i am sure it was not a holiday at all ) ended. Yet, this was my first chaotic Monday. Woke up late as my ever trusty hands would always love to press the alarm clock as soon as the first ring came out. Nevertheless, it was already raining quite heavily that time, so i had no choice but to skip my first lecture at 8am.

When i decided to go for a morning shower, somehow, the water supply is out......................had to wait for 30 minutes when it went back and even then, the water was brownish. So i decide not to bath yet and just hurriedly went off.

When my foot stepped onto the uni grounds, my first agenda was to dig for answers for my cellular metabolism report. The lab demo told us to write a 12 pages report while the practical spanned 4 weeks long. How crazy can that be. The worst thing is that she never told us to do a part essential for the determination of the properties of the enzyme, and yet she expects us to know how to obtain the answers. But lucky for me, i've got the answers i need =P

But then, when i looked on the other guys, they were rushing their instrumental assignments. I was wondering why were they sweating hellishly for it SINCE i thought we need to hand it up on Friday. To my shock, everyone told me it's TOMORROW. Its not that i never did it. I've finished it up and all thats left is just some editting. But still, it was a rude awakening.

At the cafeteria while accompanying the gals, a group of student councils wannabe (yes, the student council election kicks off this week) suddenly emerges in the midst of the cafeteria and started promoting themselves. First off, a solo singing performance whom the guy sings like Mat Rempit gas-ing their motorcycles. Then came the duet, which in turn sounds like some mad scientist who ran off from the lab screaming up till the roof of the building. As for the 3rd performance, i did not stick around too long to know what they are up to.

Thus, my day ends up with me sitting in front of my 5-days-never-slept laptop, still doing what i can for this messed-up report.
