'08 Elections

By blueskyz
The results are finally out, and as expected, the ruling party, BN, lost badly, and when i mean badly, it's far worse that Francis Light cheat his way to obtain Penang.

I usually don't like to talk about politics, but this time, it's very interesting. Many had expected, and some even wished that BN can no longer boss around this time. The reasons are as clear as a baby's soul. Issues like sex scandal, "i can pick whoever i want to be judge" scandal, PPP-MIC bickerings, Gerakan's indecisiveness, AP issues, HINDRAF, BERSIH and etc. Even increase of consumer item prices could be the issue. But the biggest reason that causes the fall of BN is none other than the politicians themselves, being full of themselves just because they won the '04 election with such a huge margin.

Before the elections, whenever i went out or had a chat with friends, many would brought up the election matters, and worryingly, many have less kind words toward BN. Nonetheless, hope that this election failure would wake those lazy-ass-bum politician from their wonderland and work really really hard to win back everything they lost in the next election.

And in connection, it's also worry-some that PAS won the Selangor state since i am currently there =P Who knows what kind of illogical rules and regulations they would put in place, like girls having to cover their entire body? Or even start closing down pubs and karaokes, or even worse, impose strict rules on establishments with a curfew >_>"

Other than the political cloud of uncertainty enveloping M'sia, life in uni had not been kind either. I had subject clashes in my timetable that some are so ridiculous that it had to be replaced with classes either at early 8am or late at 6pm. It's so ridiculous that many of my friends launch a complaint to the course co-ordinator regarding this messup. Why do the uni even offer more and more courses when they have a shortage of teaching workforce and full timetable? I would get frustrated by just looking at my messy timetable.

And speaking of timetable, my semester's 3rd week is coming, and this is the week where i have to start gathering pace in my studies, or else i would end up in the wilderness of knowledge. Pretty much hate it when all the assignments start flowing in.
